This morning we pulled Winston-Salem Southbound caboose No. 0670 from the paint shop after a full restoration funded by the generosity of the Winston-Salem Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. The caboose was donated by the Winston-Salem Southbound Railway and the work was completed by Willetts Railcar Services. John Mark Overman captured a photo of it this morning as it was being moved out. Stay tuned for the official unveiling, first operation, and dedication to be celebrated with the Chapter early in 2023!
