On December 6, 2024, Rep. Wiley Nickel emphasized the importance of addressing gerrymandering in North Carolina through legislative action. He stated, "Today is not the day to stop talking about North Carolina gerrymandering in Congress. We can fix this problem. We need to pass the Fair Maps Act." Nickel also invited followers to watch his floor speech on the matter.

Additionally, on December 6, 2024, Rep. Wiley Nickel shared news regarding consumer protection efforts led by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He announced that "@CFPB is returning over $53 million in illegal junk fees to NC consumers, part of $1.8 billion going to 4.3M Americans harmed by illegal credit repair scams." He further mentioned his bipartisan bill titled the Ending Scam Credit Repair Act as a measure to prevent such scams.
