Cary, N.C. – From now until November 4, Cary voters in District D have the opportunity to participate in a runoff election. Voters are encouraged to plan their vote as there are multiple ways to participate in the runoff: request an absentee ballot, vote at an early voting site, or visit your local voting precinct location. To find out which district you live in, use Cary’s Interactive District Map to look up your address.For Cary voters who live in Wake County, the Board of Elections at 1200 N. New Hope Rd. in Raleigh is open for voters. The sites will be extended on October 28, with three locations in the county where voters can participate in one-stop early voting:
- Avery Street Recreation Center,125 Avery St., Garner
- Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave, Cary
- John M. Brown Community Center, 53 Hunter St, Apex
Like the earlier election, an accepted form of photo ID is required to vote in North Carolina. There are many accepted forms of photo ID, some available at no cost. For more information, visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections at ncsbe.gov/voting.
For those taking public transit to the polls, GoCary Fixed Route and Tier 1 Door to Door services continue to be fare-free for all trips.
