2023 Cary Municipal Election Early Voting Starts Today Through October 7, Voter ID Now Required

Cary, NC – Beginning Thursday, September 21, two locations will serve Cary voters as one-stop early voting sites, in addition to the Board of Elections Offices in each county during regular business hours. Cary voters who reside in Wake County can cast ballots at Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., Cary, and Cary voters who live in Chatham County can cast ballots at New Hope Baptist Church, 581 New Hope Church Rd., Apex, at the following times through October 7:

  • Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Sundays, 1 - 6 p.m.
Beginning this year, an accepted form of photo ID is required to vote in North Carolina. There are many accepted forms of photo ID, some available at no cost. For more information, visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections at ncsbe.gov/voting.

If residents choose to vote on Election Day (October 10), their precinct polling location can be found by using the NC State Board of Election Voter Information Lookup.

For those taking public transit to the polls, GoCary Fixed Route and Tier 1 Door to Door services continue to be fare-free for all trips
