Today we said THANK YOU and HAPPY RETIREMENT to Assistant Director of Central Communications Glenn Lopez, who's been with us for 36 years. Glenn has been there for just about every major incident Volusia County has ever seen. From storms to fires to law enforcement and medical emergencies, and everything in between, Glenn was behind the scenes helping to make things work. He's been an invaluable member of our team and a friend to many. We'll miss him every day, but it's great to see him heading into the next exciting chapter of his life. Sheriff Mike Chitwood officially retired Glenn's call sign 1Z11 today in honor of his Hall of Fame worthy career!
