Spread the word! With below-freezing temps in the forecast, a “white flag” status for tonight, Feb. 3, and tomorrow, Feb. 4, has been declared. This means shelters will open to anyone who is homeless or without a safe, reliable heat source.
But it takes a village to operate these shelters, and you can help! St. John's MCC has taken the lead in coordinating volunteer recruitment efforts and collecting donations. The church is offering multiple ways to help:
- Volunteer shelter support;
- On-site shelter staff; and
- Donations.
