Clean Up Drive

There’s an old saying: Out of sight, out of mind...but that doesn’t mean things just go away, especially when it comes to trash!

More than 3,000 lbs of litter were polluting the waters of Chavis Park and its surrounding greenways in the City of Raleigh - Government until volunteers from the NC Dept of Environmental Quality, including staff from the divisions of Water Resources and Energy, Mineral and Land Resources strapped on their waders and went to work removing everything from bikes, wallets, a fishing pole and a fire extinguisher!
