The Subchronic Exposure team, our state champions from Enloe GT/IB Magnet High School, has landed Miami (Ohio) to represent NC and Wake County at the NCF-Envirothon competition, North America’s largest high school environmental competition!
They're facing off against more than 60 teams from China, Canada and the U.S. - competing for thousands in scholarships and awards. They've got to know everything there is to know about soils, forestry, aquatics, and wildlife. They might be tested to pretend they're environmental scientists working for a lake association and have to come up with a waste management plan to ensure they protect the water quality and watershed. NOT EASY!!!!
Let's leave the Wake team good wishes in the comments!
Subchronic Exposure is sponsored by the Wake Soil and Water Conservation District and the North Carolina Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
