Yesterday, Barwell Road Elementary had a very special celebration on their last day of school! A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the installation of their brand new book vending machine!
The machine is filled with high demand books such as Pete the Cat and Diary of a Wimpy Kid to encourage a love of reading in the children as well as to help them build their home libraries. 12 kids were selected at random to be the first to use it. Each book equals one golden token, given to the child by a staff member. It will officially be available for the rest of the students after their new school year begins on July 29.
