Provide Feedback on Housing and Community Development Needs for 2022-2023

Affordablehousing

City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on November 22.

A virtual public hearing related to the one-year Annual Action Plan for 2022-2023 will be held during the Raleigh City Council evening meeting on Tuesday, December 7 after 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts on the City’s housing and community development needs and the City’s past performance in addressing them.

The Annual Action Plan guides City expenditures of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds, as well as related local funds. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides funds to the City to help it address the needs of low- and moderate-income persons. The draft 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan will be available on the City's website in early 2022.

Community members can sign up to speak at the December 7 meeting by visiting the Public Hearings for City Council page. Deaf and hearing-impaired individuals needing interpreter services should provide 24-hour notice by calling 919-996-3100 (voice) or 919-996-3107 (TDD).
