State Library of North Carolina recently issued the following announcement.

Have you ever quilted, or do you know someone who has? Does your family have hand-made quilts that have been passed down through generations? And have you ever wondered about the stories and meanings quilts hold?

Join the SLNC Government & Heritage Library on August 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. for an hour-long virtual conversation with the North Carolina Museum of History Curator of Cultural History, Diana Bell-Kite.  

You'll learn about quilting heritage in North Carolina and the role of quilting in the lives of women and their communities. Learn why quilts are more than just bedcovers!
