The Town of Cary announced on May 13 that Wheels on Academy will take place Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Hall Campus on North Academy Street.

The event will require several downtown road closures. North Academy Street from Chapel Hill Road to the train tracks, as well as portions of Wilkinson Avenue and Ambassador Loop, will be closed starting at 7 a.m., with roads reopening at 3 p.m.

Organizers said attendees are encouraged to plan ahead for travel and parking. Downtown parking options are available, and visitors may also use GoCary transit services to reach Cary Depot.

Wheels on Academy is expected to draw residents and visitors interested in automotive displays and community activities during the event hours.

As road closures may affect usual traffic patterns in downtown Cary, officials recommend checking routes in advance and considering public transportation.
