E15 gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.14 per gallon at one gas station in Wake County during the week ending May 2, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

The county registered an average of $3.47 per gallon for E15 gas.

Of the 380 reported gas stations located within Wake County, 23 offered E15 gas.

Across North Carolina, the average reported price for a gallon of E15 gas rose to $3.46, compared to the week before.

According to an analysis by Time Magazine, fuel prices remain elevated and volatile as global oil markets react to geopolitical developments tied to the U.S. conflict with Iran, with supply concerns focused on potential disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
