UNC Wilmington tops East Carolina 6-0 in Division I softball, with Hamilton contributing

The UNC Wilmington Seahawks, featuring former South Garner High School standout Camille Hamilton, secured a 6-0 win over the East Carolina Pirates in an NCAA Division I softball game held Tuesday, March 31, at 5 p.m.

Boseman Field hosted the teams’ second matchup this season. The Seahawks previously faced a 6-1 defeat against the Pirates on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Hamilton contributed with a hit from three at-bats, tallied 1 RBI, struck out once and left 1 runner stranded.

The Seahawks will play next on Friday, April 3, visiting the Hampton Lady Pirates at Lady Pirates Softball Stadium.
