UNC Wilmington tops Charleston 5-1 in Division I softball; Camille Hamilton registers hit

Former South Garner High School athlete Camille Hamilton helped UNC Wilmington defeat the College of Charleston Cougars 5-1 in an NCAA Division I softball matchup held Sunday, March 29, at 1 p.m.

The contest, played at Boseman Field, marked the teams’ third meeting of the season. Before this game, each team had won once in their season series.

Hamilton contributed with one hit across three at-bats and added one run and one strikeout during the game.

The Seahawks face their next opponent, the East Carolina Pirates, at Boseman Field on Tuesday, March 31.
