UCLA Bruins top Washington Huskies 9-1 with Lamar recording two hits

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, former Panther Creek High School standout Jolyna Lamar helped lead her current collegiate team, the UCLA Bruins, to a 9-1 victory over the Washington Huskies in their NCAA Division I softball contest.

The matchup, held at Husky Softball Stadium, served as their third faceoff this season. Both teams have evenly split wins in their meetings so far.

Lamar went 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring two runs, collecting one RBI, striking out once, and leaving two runners stranded.

The Bruins will next take the field on Friday, May 1, at Easton Stadium against the Oregon Ducks.
