The North Carolina Courage have announced their roster decisions for the end of the 2024 season, in compliance with National Women's Soccer League requirements. The club has confirmed that 25 players are under contract through at least the 2025 season.
The Courage are currently negotiating contracts with some players who are eligible for free agency, including Kerolin Nicoli, the league's Most Valuable Player in 2023. The team also plans to waive defenders Julia Dorsey and Landy Mertz. Natalia Staude, a second-round pick from the 2024 Draft, is on loan with Tampa Bay Sun FC until the end of December.
Defender Estelle Johnson will not have her contract extended when it expires at the end of this year. According to the collective bargaining agreement, if she does not sign with another team, she will be invited to join preseason camp in 2025 after completing her maternity leave.
