North Carolina Courage defender Kaleigh Kurtz has been recognized in the NWSL Best XI for October and November, as announced by the league office. This accolade marks her first monthly honor of 2024 and she is the fourth player from the Courage to receive this recognition during the current season.
Kurtz's performance during the award period included winning two tackles and 15 duels, making five interceptions and 24 clearances, and achieving an 87.9% pass completion rate without committing any fouls. Her consistent performance also saw her complete a third consecutive Iron Woman season, maintaining her record for consecutive regular season minutes in the NWSL.
Kurtz joins fellow teammates who have been honored this year; Malia Berkely was named to the Best XI in March/April and September, while Ashley Sanchez and Meredith Speck received honors in July.
The North Carolina Courage are set to face Kansas City Current in the NWSL playoffs quarterfinals on Saturday at noon ET. The match will be available on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
