From March 18, 2023 Post.
Today, members of the Morrisville Town Council, Environment & Stormwater Committee and Morrisville Public Works Department helped plant camellias, hollies and Kwanzan cherry trees in honor of Morrisville’s Earth Day event (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 28). The Town recently created a goal to plant a minimum of 70% native plant material —including trees —for all Town-sponsored landscaping.
This year’s Morrisville Earth Day theme is “Morrisville Roots for Trees” to help continue to bring awareness of the importance of the tree canopy to our community. Earth Day will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Western Wake Farmers’ Market, 280 Town Hall Drive. Learn more at https://bit.ly/MSVEarthDay.
