WCPSS is home to two of only 15 national finalists in the “America’s Next Great Intern” contest, and you can help select the winner! The contest is sponsored by Rubin, a company that creates college and career readiness materials.
WCPSS finalists are:
Yug Sarin of the IT Academy at Fuquay-Varina High
Shawn Ye of the Medical Bioscience Academy at Enloe GT/IB Magnet High School
The contest was open to middle school, high school and postsecondary students in any CTE or project-based (hands-on) class or program. Teachers nominated students, who then submitted materials. A panel of judges chose the 15 finalists based on video and written submissions conveying students’ greetings, phone skills, team communication, resilience and determination, and research and critical thinking.
