The Mexican folkloric dance group Orgullo y Alma Latina was originally formed at Zebulon GT Magnet Elementary School. Now, 16 years later, the group is comprised of about 45 members who have performed at festivals in Raleigh and Wilmington. At last week's School Board meeting, two of our students, Angel from FoxRoadES and Alexandra from Wildwood Forest Elementary, performed a folk dance from the Mexican state of Jalisco in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!
