City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on January 13.

Weather

A wintry mix of precipitation is expected in the Raleigh Area this weekend, starting in the early hours of Sunday morning. For a more detailed weather forecast, please visit National Weather Service - Raleigh.

City Services

Some City services, programs, and facilities are impacted.

Solid Waste Services

updated Friday, January 14, 5:20 p.m.

Solid Waste Services will not collect garbage and recycling in the Central Business District (CBD) on Sunday, January, 16, or Monday, January 17. Regular CBD collections will resume on Tuesday, January 18.

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources

updated Friday, January 14, 4:30 p.m:

All Park Facilities will be closed on Sunday, January 16.

Any type of wintry precipitation can make travel hazardous. The City of Raleigh's Transportation Department is prepared.
