CARY, NC - The culminating event of the Town’s Sesquicentennial year, the Cary150 Masquerade Gala, will take place on November 13, 2021, at the Embassy Suites Cary. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
An elegant and joyful end to Cary’s 150th year, the evening will feature dinner, cocktails, dancing, tributes to Cary’s Hometown Heroes, and a festive champagne toast. It promises to be a night to remember as attendees celebrate Cary’s past and present while looking ahead to the community’s bright future.
Participants are encouraged to dress in semi-formal attire (black tie optional). Masks are encouraged for the event, particularly those reminiscent of a 15th century Italian masquerade ball, in the tradition of the Venetian Carnival.
There are a limited number of tickets to this event, which may be purchased through the Cary150 website. Individual tickets are $100 each with proceeds dedicated to the Play It Forward Scholarship Fund and the Oasis Fund, two Town-supported programs assisting Cary’s vulnerable citizens with reduced or no-fee cultural and recreational programs as well as help with utility bills during financial hardships.
This event is following CDC Guidelines and Town of Cary Mayoral Mandates regarding COVID-19 to be as safe as possible.
About Cary150
A group of advisory board volunteers has been working since 2018 to create a year of memories by coordinating and prioritizing celebration initiatives. Due to the setbacks from COVID-19 restrictions, the momentum shifted to virtual celebratory events and interactions in early 2021. The Town has worked with community partners to celebrate Cary through a documentary film, a family-friendly outdoor celebration, tree giveaway, and driving/walking tours.
