The Wilkes Community College Small Business Center has a variety of seminars scheduled for September that support the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses. These seminars are offered at no charge to participants unless otherwise noted; however, attendees must pre-register to participate.
Sales and Use Tax – September 2, 2021, 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Online
This webinar will help participants better understand their sales and use tax obligations with the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR). Participants will receive instructions on how to prepare a sales and use tax return in addition to learning about sales and use tax basics, the most common types of sales and use taxes collected, and how to register for an account to remit sales and use tax. Sales and use tax law changes regarding capital improvements and repair, maintenance, and installation services will not be addressed in any depth during this webinar.
TikTok for Small Businesses Part 1 – September 7, 2021, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Online
