Volunteer with Raleigh Parks to Honor 9/11 Day of Service on September 11

City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on August 13.

Join Raleigh Parks staff at one of our several volunteer events on Saturday, September 11 across the city in honor of the 9/11 Day of Service. Sign up online at the links below!

Lake Johnson Big Sweep - 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join the Lake Johnson staff and community in cleaning up the lake! Volunteers will be removing litter from the shore and trails as well as the water.

Peach Road Refresh - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Help us give a fresh coat of paint to the park amenities at Peach Road Cultural Center.

Durant Trail Maintenance - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join staff in helping to ensure that the trails of Durant Nature Preserve are safe and functional.

9/11 Day of Service at Biltmore Hills - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join Raleigh Parks staff in helping to keep Biltmore Hills Park clean by removing litter with trash bags and pickup sticks.

9/11 Day of Service at Green Road - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join Raleigh Parks staff in helping to keep Green Road Park clean by removing litter with trash bags and pickup sticks.
