Sidewalk improvement work is underway near the John W. Byrne Municipal Building on E. Jones Street, affecting access to the area and the adjacent parking garage. The project has prompted temporary traffic changes.

According to a notice from local authorities, E. Jones Street will be limited to one-way eastbound traffic toward N. Woodrow Street during construction. The westbound lane is closed, and vehicles cannot enter E. Jones Street from N. Fuquay Avenue or East Street.

Officials have advised drivers to follow posted detour signs and stated that parking on E. Jones Street is not permitted for the duration of the improvements.
