On Saturday, May 3, former Apex Friendship High School standout Avery Kiger’s current college team, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Wingate Bulldogs.

The game took place at Wingate Softball Complex. This was their fourth matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 4:30 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium against Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters.
