On Sunday, April 27, former Cary Academy standout Lawson Wheeler’s current college team, the Elon Phoenix, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the North Carolina A&T Aggies.

The game took place at Walter C. Latham Park. This was their third matchup against the Aggies this season.

The Phoenix’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. at Walter C. Latham Park against East Carolina Pirates.
