On Saturday, April 5, former Apex Friendship High School standout Avery Kiger’s current college team, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, won 13-8 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Limestone Saints.

The game took place at Jimmy Martin Field. This was their second matchup against the Saints this season.

The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at McCrorie Family Stadium against Tusculum Pioneers.
