Most staffed facilities in Cary, including Town Hall, will be closed on April 3 in observance of Good Friday, according to a March 27 announcement. The closure affects several community and arts centers as well as other town-operated locations.
The closures are intended to observe the holiday and may impact access to some public services. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for any needs related to town facilities during this period.
According to the announcement, the Cary Arts Center, Page-Walker, Cary Senior Center, and Cary Community Centers will be closed from April 3 through Easter Sunday on April 5. The Cary Theater will close on April 3 but is scheduled to reopen on April 4. Market 317, The Bark Bar, and Guest Services at Downtown Cary Park will remain open on Good Friday but will close for Easter Sunday. Stevens Nature Center is set to be closed from April 3 through April 5; however, Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve will stay open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset. The clubhouse at Cary Tennis Park is expected to stay open throughout the holiday weekend.
GoCary’s fixed-route transit service will continue operating as usual during this time while Door-to-Door service will be limited to Tier I only. Curbside collection services scheduled between March 30 and April 2 are not affected by the holiday closures; however, the Citizen’s Convenience Center will not operate on Good Friday.
Cary’s information line—Cary 311—will also be unavailable for calls during this period. Residents can still submit non-emergency requests or seek information online at carync.gov/311 or by emailing 311@carync.gov.
