The Town of Morrisville has appointed Erin L. Hudson as the new Communications and Outreach Director. Hudson brings nearly 18 years of experience in local government, having spent the last decade in Morrisville as the Strategic Performance Manager and previously serving as the Town Clerk. Her expertise includes strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, process evaluation, and public relations.

Hudson assumed her new position on June 9 after participating in a competitive selection process that involved both internal and external assessors. “Ultimately, she was the best candidate and the right fit for the Communications Department and the Town,” stated Brandon Zuidema, Town Manager. He added that Hudson’s skills in communications and social media will enhance the town’s outreach efforts.

Hudson holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master of Public Administration from Appalachian State University. She is committed to professional development and leadership growth. Expressing enthusiasm for her new role, Hudson said, “I am thrilled to take the next step in my professional journey in a field that I have loved since childhood.” She looks forward to working with Morrisville’s staff and community to share its unique story.
