Holly Springs residents are invited to participate in shaping the town’s future by providing feedback on updates to the Comprehensive Plan. The event will take place at the Farmers Market on Saturday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for the Town Council, Planning Board, and staff when evaluating projects. This year, three sections of the plan are being updated: Community Facilities, Infrastructure & Utilities, and Natural Resources.

Community Facilities planning aims to prepare for population growth and ensure that police and fire departments can maintain fast response times. The Infrastructure & Utilities update will address long-term utility needs to provide quality water and efficient sewer systems. The Natural Resources section focuses on protecting open spaces and environmental features essential for maintaining Holly Springs’ natural character.

Sean Ryan, Holly Springs Planning Division Manager, emphasized the importance of resident input: “The decisions made during this planning process will guide the future of Holly Springs for 10, 20, and 30 years, and resident feedback is an essential component of the process to ensure Holly Springs continues to be a place people want to call home.”
