The Town of Holly Springs has received national recognition for its communications efforts, earning a second-place award in the Promotional Video category at the Savvy Awards Competition. The event, organized by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA), acknowledges effective and creative work from city and county professionals across the United States. This year’s competition saw more than 1,100 entries submitted across 37 categories.

Holly Springs was honored for its “Mission Accomplished” video, which was produced to mark the grand opening of Fire Station 3. The video features Fire Chief LeRoy Smith as he undertakes a themed “mission” to reach the ceremony, encountering different scenarios along the way.

“Our department is always looking for creative and impactful ways to deliver information to our residents,” said Communications & Marketing Director Cassie Hack. “This video had over 35,000 views on social media, bringing attention to this important public safety facility.”

During the fire station’s opening ceremony, Town Manager Randy Harrington addressed more than 250 attendees before pausing to note the absence of Fire Chief Smith. As part of the presentation, attendees then watched the video on screen.

Footage from the ceremony was incorporated into the final version of the video and shared widely on various platforms after the event. According to town officials, it became Holly Springs’ highest performing video of the year.

“Congratulations to the Town’s Communications & Marketing team for their continued dedication to excellence,” Harrington said.
