The Town of Holly Springs is set to resurface nearly five miles of streets as part of its annual maintenance program. This year’s project will cover 21 streets and is expected to begin in July, with completion anticipated by November. Residents living near the affected areas will receive advance notification from the contractor.

Town officials advise drivers to be cautious around workers, equipment, and trucks during the resurfacing process. The $2,495,853 project is funded through Powell Bill funding derived from gasoline tax revenues.

The selection process for street resurfacing involves a comprehensive street rating survey conducted approximately every five years. This survey evaluates the entire town-maintained road network and combines this data with factors such as traffic volume, safety, and interconnectivity to prioritize roads for repair.

The streets scheduled for resurfacing include Arbor Creek Drive, Arbor Crest Road, Arbor Glen Court, Arbor Wynds Court, Creekhill Drive, Crossway Lane, Elm Street, Hallwood Court, Irving Parkway, Kingsport Drive, Linksland Drive, Lockley Road, Marleton Way, Oakhall Drive, Ontario Place, Overshore Court, Salem Ridge Road, Shoreline Court, Silverstone Way, Starkland Way, Starwood Lane and Stinson Avenue.
