The Town of Holly Springs has announced upcoming dates for its fall yard waste and leaf collection services. The annual Fall Yard Waste Sweep will take place the week of October 13, 2025. Residents are encouraged to place any amount of acceptable yard waste at the curb by Sunday, October 12, for free collection. Crews from Holly Springs Public Works will collect yard waste from neighborhoods between October 13 and 17.
For those who miss the sweep or have more yard waste than can fit in their carts, the Town operates a Yard Waste Convenience Center off Rex Road. This facility allows residents to drop off excess yard waste at no extra charge.
Residents can also request excessive yard waste collection by calling 311 or (919) 577-3111, though an additional fee applies for this service.
Leaf season collection is scheduled to begin on October 27, 2025, and will continue through February 2026. During this period, leaves that do not fit in standard carts may be placed at the edge of front yards for pickup. The Town’s vacuum trucks will make monthly rounds in each zone to collect these leaves. Areas with especially high volumes of leaves will be monitored to ensure streets remain clear.
Biweekly cart-based yard waste collection will continue throughout leaf season. Residents can view the zone schedule for more information about when collections will occur in their neighborhoods.
