The Town of Fuquay-Varina announced on May 1 that Captain I Brandon Childress has been selected for the May Employee Spotlight. Childress joined the department in July 2016 and currently serves with Ladder 1 on B-shift.

The recognition aims to highlight employees who demonstrate dedication and serve as role models within their teams. According to the announcement, Childress is described as a dedicated student of the fire service, committed to lifelong learning, and an invaluable resource to his colleagues.

Childress is known for mentoring newer firefighters by clearly explaining experiences and consistently going above and beyond to help his crew succeed. The department said he plays an important role in fostering a supportive environment for professional growth among team members.

Employee spotlights such as this are intended to acknowledge staff contributions and encourage excellence throughout the organization. The Town of Fuquay-Varina continues its practice of recognizing individuals who exemplify commitment and leadership within municipal services.
