Fortnite is now available on Google Play worldwide, Epic Games announced on March 19. The return to the platform coincides with the launch of the latest Battle Royale Season, Fortnite Showdown.

Epic Games said that bringing Fortnite back to Google Play makes it easier for players to connect and play with friends on any Android device. The company also highlighted that, in addition to Battle Royale, there are more than 345,000 games available within Fortnite created by developers using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). These include a variety of genres such as racing, deathruns, horror, and tycoon games.

The announcement noted that Fortnite can also be accessed through the Epic Games Store on Android devices globally and is available on iOS devices in the European Union. Players interested in learning more about how to get Fortnite on their mobile device are directed to visit fortnite.com/mobile.
