Former Apex Friendship High School standout Avery Kiger played on Friday, May 9 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Friday, May 9, former Apex Friendship High School standout Avery Kiger’s current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears won 4-3 against the North Georgia Nighthawks in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the North Georgia Nighthawks in the tournament.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 10 at 12 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
