Epic Games Store has announced a significant update to its revenue share model, effective retroactively from June 1, 2025. Developers will now earn 100% of the first $1 million in net revenue per product, per year for any payments processed through the Epic Games Store. This change is part of the updated standard distribution terms. After reaching the $1 million threshold, content will revert to the existing 88%/12% revenue share model.

The new model applies across platforms using Epic’s payment processor, including PC, Mac, iOS, iPadOS, and Android. The $1 million revenue threshold began on June 1, 2025, and will continue through December 31, 2025. Starting in 2026, this threshold will reset annually on January 1.

No application or contract updates are required for developers to benefit from this change. Additional opportunities are available through Epic First Run, an opt-in exclusivity program offering a 100% revenue share for the first six months after launch. After this period ends, any remaining revenue toward the $1 million threshold remains eligible for a full share until it is met.

Developers are encouraged to take advantage of these changes and start distributing on the Epic Games Store today.
