On Thursday, May 1, former Apex Friendship High School standout Avery Kiger’s current college team, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters.

The game took place at Wingate Softball Complex. This was their third matchup against the Railsplitters this season.

The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Wingate Softball Complex against Wingate Bulldogs.
